Since 2016, GFA is successfully implementing the Association4U project in Ukraine supporting the implementation of the EU-Association Agreement. The fellowship program of the EU-funded Association4U project entered a new phase on 14 Dec, 2018 when the Association4U Community was called into life and celebrated with the Association4U Community building event.

The A4U Community welcomes all individuals who are passionate about the EU integration of Ukraine and wish to continuously support this goal. A core group of the community will be the pool of EU integration experts that has participated in the A4U fellowship program. They will continue supporting EU integration in their professional life in NGOs, the private sector, universities, the public service or future EU integration projects. The Community Building Event aimed at boosting the spirit of togetherness of all fellows and making the impact and success of the fellowship program sustainable. Speaking at the event, the Vice Prime Minister for European & Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Ms Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, underlined the importance of the initiative and the continuous implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. “In 2019, we all have a great opportunity to make the EU integration irreversible; this event brings us one step closer to Ukraine’s integration into the EU, a process to which we have dedicated so much time and efforts,"  stated the Vice Prime Minister.

The event coincided with the fifth meeting of the Association Council, that has started its work in Brussels on 17 Dec, 2018. The Council’s joint statement can be retrieved under this link
