In a recent press release, the Global Nature Fund (GNF) reports on impressive sustainable activities taking place in the context of the project “From Farm to Fork”, of which GFA is currently implementing one component in Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic. In the article, GFA team leader Emilie Dardaine presents the Biodiversity Ideas Competition that was carried out at the beginning of the project and gives examples of innovative activities that combine biodiversity conservation with business opportunities. The activities are versatile, e.g., ecological chicken farming in banana plantations or the use of drones to reduce water use in pineapple plantations.
