EU External Aid Program

Posted on 28 Oct, 2011 by Dr. Hans-Christoph Schaefer-Kehnert, GFA Consulting Group

The cooperation with third countries constitutes an important pillar of EU foreign policy. Since 2007, EU has simplified the legal basis of its foreign aid: there are only four big geographical and ten thematic instruments left. The Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein (IB) invites interested parties to a half-day seminar on “EU External Aid Program – Chances for Small and Medium Enterprises” on 3 November, 2011 at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) in Kiel. The Bank together with IHK and German Trade & Invest GmbH in Brussels will inform about potential opportunities for enterprises through project grants or tenders regarding services, public works contracts or deliveries. An IB case study on Wind Energy, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in Morocco will serve as a specific example for project management and implementation as well as obstacles and hurdles towards a successful project. Dr. Klaus Altemeier, Managing Director of GFA Consulting Group, will share his company’s vast know-how as an experienced and successful EU applicant regarding Tenders Won in the EuropeAid Context. The Contracting Advisory Office of the State of Schleswig-Holstein and IB’s Enterprise Europe Network will inform interested enterprises about their supporting services.
