EVA SCHILDBACH JOINS DSW BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Posted on 1 Oct, 2026 by Eva Schildbach

Eva Schildbach, Director of the Health Department at GFA Consulting Group, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Deutsche Stiftung Weltbevölkerung (DSW), which focuses on human rights-based population development. Eva Schildbach is one of four new members that the foundation is welcoming onto the board in its 35th year of existence.

The aim of the Deutsche Stiftung Weltbevölkerung is to contribute to sustainable population development, to strengthen the human right to family planning, and to support young people in making self-determined decisions about their sexuality and contraception.

The DSW’s Board of Trustees is an honorary body that appoints, counsels, supports and monitors the Executive Board of the foundation. With Eva Schildbach joining on 1 October 2026, the Board of Trustees is strengthened by a proven expert in the field of public health and health promotion within international development co-operation. Schildbach has extensive professional experience working abroad and has headed the Health Department at GFA since 2023.

In her new role, Eva Schildbach in particular aims to help “communicate the organisation’s successes and meaningful work in a variety of ways, so that they reach different people and target groups”, as she herself puts it.

Alongside Eva Schildbach, communications expert Charlotte Holzum, consultant Claas Meineke, and social entrepreneur Sara Nuru have also been newly appointed to the DSW Foundation Board.
