GIZ INITIATIVE LAUNCHED IN IRAQ: FINANCIAL INCLUSION FOR A NEW ECONOMIC START AND INTEGRATION
Together with GIZ Iraq, we were thrilled to have officially launched our project in Baghdad on October 8, in collaboration with our valued partner financial institutions. The GIZ-led initiative, "Financial Inclusion for a New Economic Start and Integration in Iraq", commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and co-funded by the European Union, is being implemented by GIZ and GFA.
This project is dedicated to enhancing financial inclusion and improving access to inclusive financial services for vulnerable groups across Iraq. Our primary focus is on fostering inclusive financial services and creating better conditions for women-led businesses to access these services.
We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate this important partnership with our partners and key stakeholders, among them National bank of Iraq, First Finance Company, Cihan Bank, Dinar Card NeO, Vitas Microfinance, Central Bank of Iraq, Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. Together, we aim to create meaningful, lasting change in Iraq's financial landscape and to improve the lives of vulnerable communities.
