The GFA Climate Competence Center (CCC) has been working on the ‘Green Hydrogen’ topic since 2018 in South Africa. Within the scope of a GIZ assignment, the CCC developed a proposal to establish a national hydrogen organization and is currently also preparing a further proposal for the Green Climate Fund in collaboration with partners and the GFA Climate & Infrastructure in South Africa. The proposal is aimed at implementing a pilot project for the use of green hydrogen for the transport sector in Africa.
