On 24 June, 2015 the German Accreditation Agency (DAkkS) accredited GFA Certification for ISO 17065 & 17021 regarding forest management and chain of custody certification by the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). During the 2015 Accreditation Office Audit, DAkks confirmed full compliance with PEFC accreditation standards.

In early July 2015, a separate Re-Accreditation Office Audit by Accreditation Services International (ASI), the sole accreditation body for the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®), identified compliance with FSC accreditation standards.

The credibility associated with the accreditations is based on around 1,300 audits per year implemented by 75 GFA staff members. GFA Certification currently has  approximately 1,000 clients in 37 countries. The overall accreditation success expresses the company's efforts to offer best quality services as one of the leading certification bodies in forest management as well as wood and paper related chains of custody in accordance with internationally recognized FSC® and PEFC standards.

The accreditations enable GFA Certification to offer combined FSC and PEFC chain of custody certification. This helps GFA customers reduce costs, time and red tape to a minimum.
