GFA NEWSLETTER 04//2020: GFA STRENGTHENS HEALTH SYSTEMS IN THE CONTEXT OF COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to keep us under stress. More than ever it becomes clear how vital an intact healthcare system is for achieving other sustainable development goals. GFA´s Health department has a long history of working in pandemic prevention and in health system support. Teams of experts assist partners worldwide in containing the pandemic itself and coping with immediate economic impacts. Experience in pandemic prevention shows that fatality numbers are lower where investments in public health utilities and in community health are kept up. This newsletter shares a variety of positive experiences from GFA projects.
