CDU MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT HOPPERMANN VISITED GFA HEADQUARTER IN HAMBURG
Franziska Hoppermann, CDU, visited GFA headquarters in Hamburg today. Hoppermann, who represents the constituency of Hamburg-Wandsbek in the German Bundestag, met with Anja Desai, GFA's Managing Director, to discuss current issues of international cooperation.
In addition to GFA's role as a service provider, the discussion focused on migration, women's rights and the current debate on German development policy.
"International cooperation is a long-term policy. Keeping a wise compass is the task for the upcoming budget discussions and the years to come," said Franziska Hoppermann.
"Development cooperation must remain reliable and continuous in order to be able to offer sought-after German expertise and take on the role of an honest broker. We emphasized this in our talks," said Anja Desai after the meeting.
Hoppermann, who is also a member of the Digital Committee of the German Bundestag and a deputy member of the Committee on Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid, was received by GFA founder Dr. Johannes Lagemann. He took the politician on a tour of the company's campus - a new office building was added this summer. With around 400 employees, GFA is an important employer in the Volksdorf district of Wandsbek.
