The KfW funded project "Planification familiale et prévention VIH/SIDA, Phase V" produced a short film in French, with English subtitles, which shows the launch and implementation in October 2019 of a digital health game for young people by the Ivory Coast Social Marketing Association (AIMAS) - in collaboration with SNTL Publishing (SNTLP) and GFA.

The digital health game pilot project culminated on 24 October 2019 at the "eLearning Africa" conference, attended by around 1,000 education experts every year. In an exciting final between the best players from Côte d'Ivoire and the conference experts, the winners were then rewarded with prizes at the GIZ stand. The aim of the game is to increase awareness of contraception among young pupils and students aged 18 to 25, one of the target groups for AIMAS' interventions. The objectives include piloting a new "playful" approach to examining: whether the use of mobile networks can increase the reach of health education and facilitate access; the extent to which the playfulness of learning and testing significantly increases the engagement of learners; and how, through accurate analysis, valid data can be made available to health education actors for well-founded interventions.
