MENTAL HEALTH FOR UKRAINE PROJECT IN JOURNAL FOR MARKET ACCESS & HEALTH POLICY

Posted on 19 Nov, 2020 by Heiko Königstein

The SDC project Mental Health for Ukraine (MH4U), implemented by GFA, managed to publish an article in the open-access, peer-reviewed "Journal for Market Access & Health Policy". The article Transitioning to community-based mental health service delivery: opportunities for Ukraine explains how more Ukrainians can get access to mental health care by sharing responsibilities better among health, psychological and social care professionals, and reform the care financing mechanisms. International publications on mental health systems in eastern Europe are rare, that´s why we are proud to have put Ukraine on the research agenda like that. Involved in the drafting of this article were representatives from Ukrainian psychiatry (Orest Suvalo), Ukrainian Government (Oleksii Sukhovii), German academia (York Zöllner) and GFA (Eleanor Quirke).
