Job partnerships and medium enterprise support
The GIZ-funded project is part of the Special Initiative (SI) Jobs in Tunisia. Its goal is to increase the employment-generating growth of domestic and European companies in the aviation and automotive sector in Tunisia. The project works in three areas of intervention towards the following outputs: (1) The preconditions for trade and investments by German and European companies, particularly in the selected clusters (automotive and aviation industries) in Tunisia, have improved. (2) The capacities of Tunisian small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) in selected clusters (aviation and automotive) are increased to grow sustainably whilst generating employment. (3) The business ecosystem of selected sectoral clusters has improved.
GFA is responsible for achieving the objectives of Output 2 measured by module indicator 2: 15,000 employees (including 35% women and 40% youth) in the 170 Tunisian and European companies directly supported by the project in Tunisia benefit from improved working conditions in two of the following categories: Increased income, improved workplace safety, improved social security, and access to wellbeing programs.
