On February 2019 in Kyiv the Conference on presentation of the results of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU in 2018 took place. The Conference was organized by the Office of Vice Prime-Minister of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and the Government Office for Coordination on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration with the support of the EU project Association4U. At the conference, the Report on the implementation of tasks foreseen by the Association Agreement has been presented. The Report is aimed to inform citizens, representatives of NGOs and international community regarding the progress that Ukraine made in implementing the objectives of political and economic integration to the EU in the reporting year.

Конкурс для журналістів на найкращий матеріал про євроінтеграцію

Проект Association4U разом із Офісом Віце-прем’єр-міністра з питань європейської та євроатлантичної інтеграції України оголошують третю хвилю конкурсу журналістських публікацій в регіональних засобах масової інформації.

Мета конкурсу

• Підвищити обізнаність громадськості про Угоду про асоціацію / Зону вільної торгівлі між Україною та Європейським Союзом.
• Пояснити можливості, які дає Угода, та виклики, які постають у процесі її імплементації перед українськими державними інституціями, громадянами, неурядовими організаціями та підприємствами.
• Популяризувати успішний досвід українців, які вже отримують вигоди від впровадження Угоди, спонукати  до активного використання можливостей, що надаються Угодою про асоціацію між Україною та ЄС.
• Сприяти утвердженню європейських цінностей та європейської ідентичності України й українців.

Номінації

The Blue Guide 2016 is the Commission Notice explaining a wide range of matters related to the implementation of the EU product rules. These include, but not limited to, free movement of goods, the New Approach compared to Old Approach, conformity assessment, product requirements, accreditation, notification, market surveillance etc. These notions are frequently used in the EU acquis, which Ukraine has committed to implement according to the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.

The Blue Guide 2016 was translated into Ukrainian by translation experts of the “Association4U” Project.

The document should be treated as a trusted guidance for translators, lawyers, field experts, and wide public clarifying a number of basic matters related to product rules.

Quality legal translations are the basis of the professional approximation of the Ukrainian legislation to that of the EU and, consequently, the key to reforming the country within the framework of the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. The EU funded Project Association4U together with the European Commission Directorate General for Translation and the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration will hold on January 16-17, 2019 in Kyiv the first profile conference on translation issues in order to ensure a quality legislative approximation.

On 23^rd November 2018 in Kyiv the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze together with the Press Attache of the Delegation of the EU to Ukraine David Stulik, the Editor-in-Chief of “Europeiska Pravda” Serhii Sydorenko, the Executive Director of the Ukrainian Center for European Policy Liuba Akulenko and the Association4U Key Expert on Public Communication & Outreach Liudmyla Kosar congratulated the winners of Ukraine-wide competition on best journalistic material about EU integration and awarded them with diplomas and prizes. The Vice Prime Minister encouraged journalists to continue explaining the benefits of the European integration to Ukrainians.

On September 25, 2018, took place the Fifth Steering Committee of the EU-funded project Association4U. The event was dedicated to discussing the results of the project implementation and its future prospects. It gathered the representatives of the project beneficiaries, the EU Delegation to Ukraine and the project implementing Consortium GFA Consulting Group together with the project key and short-term experts, as well as the main supporting force of all the project activities – its Fellows.
