Coordination Office of the German Energy Solutions Initiative, Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy

GFA provides the team of the Coordination Office of the German Energy Solutions Initiative. The initiative is coordinated and financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), focuses primarily on German SMEs and targets all markets worldwide. As an instrument of the German export promotion policy, it facilitates business partnerships between German and foreign companies in the field of renewables, energy efficiency technologies, smart grids and storage technologies through these tools:

  • Fact-finding missions for foreign decision-makers to Germany
  • Market information and consulting (information events, webinars, market studies)
  • Networking and business opportunities (trade missions to various target markets, financing consulting, promotion of consortium formations)
  • Marketing support (participation at foreign trade fairs, online catalog of German companies)
  • Project Development Program (PDP) in developing and emerging countries
  • Promotion

The Coordination Office is responsible for the operation of the initiative and supports the BMWi administratively, technically and conceptually in planning, implementation, quality management and monitoring as well as in the development of the business promotion activities. The team is also the primary contact for companies, partners of initiative such as German associations in the field of renewables and energy efficiency, regional energy agencies and consultants.
