GFA DEVELOPS VIRTUAL TRAINING COURSES IN HONDURAS

Posted on 23 Sep, 2020 by Jan Prothmann

In APRODE II, GFA is supporting the development of a regional training program for both specialists and managers within the administration of Honduran education. Although the training was originally planned to be run as a blended form of learning, the approach was altered to strictly digital training, based upon a corresponding concept, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Ministry of Education first requested training courses for virtual tutors for the two modules "Rights Approach in Education Management" and "Virtual Didactic Competence". The modules were developed in joint cooperation with the Gender Committee of the Ministry of Education, the COIPRODEN network, as well as with technical support from APRODE II of GIZ, the C3 Unit for Better Learning and the Governance Department of GFA. On September 4, a total of 30 people from the regional training centers from the Ministry of Education successfully completed all 37 training hours. In this first round, competencies in the areas of ethics, children's rights, inclusivity’s of the gender perspective and use of the Moodle platform were successfully strengthened. It is planned to conduct the training in departmental and municipal administrations in educational networks in the Western Zone towards the end of October 2020.
