GFA NEWSLETTER 01//2020: FRAMEWORK CONTRACTS ARE IN VOGUE

As the corona crisis is rapidly unfolding, our projects worldwide are starting to feel the impact. You might be worried about the ability of GFA Headquarters, being based right in what the WHO calls the epicenter of the pandemic, to provide the usual support over the coming weeks and months. We want to assure you that we have organized ourselves now in a way that we can continue our qualified services (Management Letter - GFA on Corona).

We are therefore pleased to present you our first newsletter this year: 

Framework contracts (FWC) are an approach to reduce time-consuming and bureaucratic procurement processes. GFA has been implementing EU FWC for more than 15 years. This has built up knowledge for long-term projects, offered short-term missions to GFA experts and provided background information on projects.

GFA led its first EU FWC consortium from 2015-2019, and decided to extend its FWC business. GFA successfully applied for and won four EU FWC contracts under the Services for the Implementation of External Aid (SIEA 2018). As the FWCs have a business model with much tighter deadlines than other projects, GFA established a FWC Unit in June 2018.
