POWERING THE FUTURE: FLENSBURG’S SUSTAINABLE ENERGY STUDENTS VISIT GFA
On 12 October, the Energy & Finance (EF) Department at GFA Consulting Group had the pleasure of welcoming 15 master’s students and two faculty members from Europa-Universität Flensburg. The group of students, from the Sustainable Energy and Development programme (SEDev) led by Prof. Dr. Bernd Möller, came to gain first-hand insight into how development cooperation works in the energy sector. Colleagues from the EF Department shared their experience in international development cooperation and their views on the sustainable energy landscape, with a closer look at ongoing work in renewable energy development and power market regulation. The students, in turn, brought a wealth of professional experience of their own, representing Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan, Nepal, Mongolia, Kenya, Ghana, and Colombia, a fitting reminder of just how global the energy transition really is. Our thanks to the SEDev team for a lively exchange. We look forward to seeing where this next generation of energy professionals takes the sector.
