HEALTH FOR ALL: HOW GFA IS WORKING TO STRENGTHEN AND IMPROVE HEALTH SYSTEMS AROUND THE WORLD

Today, GFA Consulting Group joins the world in celebrating World Health Day under the motto "Health for All” given forth by the World Health Organisation, marking 75 years of improving public health. During these unprecedented times, when we are faced with a myriad of health crises, strengthening public health systems is and will continue to be essential. Future pandemics are inevitable, but we can learn from these public health emergencies and prepare ourselves better. With this in mind and informed by the responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, we at GFA, together with our partners, are developing an European Union (EU)-wide preparedness training program for public health specialists in  27 EU Member States and three countries in the European Economic Area (EEA). In doing this, we are taking into account the different levels of capacities that exist across states and providing capacity building activities that are tailored to the respective national capacities. The virtual training program, hosted by the European Centre for Disease Control (ECDC), will strengthen the EU's capacity to respond stronger to future health and other emergencies. This is being implemented within the frame of the EPIC11 project with a funding base of 5,4 Million EUR from the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA)  with the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT), Think Modular and GFA as implementing partners.
