Positioning FIND’s data portal within the global health data ecosystem
FIND, the Global Alliance for Diagnostics, is embarking on important and timely activities related to its data strategy, including
- Implementing data architecture and governance for internal and external use, and
- developing a multi-disease data portal to provide comprehensive and reliable diagnostic information to FINDs key stakeholders.
In addition, FIND wants to identify external messaging, collaborations, and tactics that will position it as a visionary, go-to leader in the evolving global digital health, interoperability, and post-COVID-19 landscapes. The project had two work streams. WP 1 aimed to assess the needs and interests of existing and future users of FINDs data portal, review the data assets available for the data portal, and identify what external data sources are available to complement and augment FINDs data portal. WP 2 aimed to review data reporting needs and minimum requirements to facilitate interoperability of the FIND Data Portal with other systems, and to facilitate data sharing and interpretation. Identify applicable standards to engage necessary stakeholders and advocates and facilitate alignment. Provide tangible input to the healthcare interoperability and standards community.
