Evaluation management for the International Climate Initiative
Within the scope of the project, GFA Consulting Group and its expert team ensured the management and technical control of the evaluation system of the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU). This included planning and management for up to 300 individual project evaluations, six impact evaluations and four cluster evaluations, the methodological backstopping and coordination of evaluators, the comprehensive analysis and reporting. The main target of the IKI evaluation system was to establish a lean and cost-effective process for transparent performance review and accountability, and continuous performance enhancement through effective learning and improved control at project and program levels. In addition, evaluations were perpetuated and further institutionalized within IKI.
