Social protection
This project supported the Indonesian government to more comprehensively and effectively cover life-cycle risks of poor and vulnerable groups. The intervention area “Social Assistance” supported the harmonization of structures, processes and human resources of selected social assistance programs in order to increase harmonisation, yield higher efficiency and effectiveness in the implementation of social protection programs, thus reaching more eligible people and increasing the level of provision of the target groups. The program supported the development of the social protection systems based on the principles of availability, coverage of basic social risks, adequacy and accessibility. The program intervened predominantly at national level. With regard to the introduction of integrated single window services for social protection as well as basic financial services for poor and vulnerable groups of the population pilots were planned at local level.
