Web platform Gemeinschaftswerk Nachhaltigkeit (WPGWN) with an AI-based SDG initiative map

There are gaps in the data on initiatives that contribute to the SDGs in Germany, and a comprehensive and appropriate information base is lacking. The Gemeinschaftswerk Nachhaltigkeit (GWN) (Joint Action for Sustainable Development) – based at the Rat für Nachhaltige Entwicklung (RNE) (Council for Sustainable Development) – aims to close this data gap and increase the transparency of ongoing SDG activities in Germany through the web portal Gemeinschaftswerk Nachhaltigkeit (WPGWN).

The aim of the assignment is to design, develop, programme, and ensure the operation of the WPGWN, including an integrated SDG initiative map, partially populated using artificial intelligence. The project is being implemented in an agile manner.
