EU Gateway and business avenues program
The overall objective of the “EU Gateway and Business Avenues Program” is to strengthen the presence of European companies - specifically SMEs - in key markets in Asia and thus contribute to economic growth and job creation in the European Union. The purpose is to promote trade, investment and business cooperation with key markets, i.e. China, South Korea, and south East Asia and to create business links for SMEs to key markets using the Gateway methodology for market entry and business services. Market access of EU companies to key markets is facilitated, focusing on specific strategic sectors, among others environment and water, renewable energy, or healthcare & medical equipment. The Central Management Unit is among others, responsible for the overall coordination of the program, for the development of operational tools and procedures, and maintenance of the Gateway methodology and its implementation across the target markets.
