Technical assistance for trade

Project objective:
Promotion of commercial exports by assuring institutional strengthening of the Columbian foreign trade system. By improving the coordination services of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism, the project contributed to overcoming non-tariff barriers to trade and to improving mechanisms for overcoming barriers to free competition of Columbian exports and the enterprises working in the country through consulting services the following fields/components:

1. Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures
2. Metrology and Laboratories
3. Technical Regulations to Trade and Conformity Assessment
4. Corporate Social Responsibility
5. Capacity Building and Trade related issues
6. Strengthening Institutional Capacities in Trade
