Entrepreneurship policy implementation (E4DE)
The E4DE program, co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), supports entrepreneurship in the governorates of Jerash and Mafraq in the north and Aqaba and Karak in the south. At the policy level, the short-term experts will advise political partners, provide capacity building, establish exchange platforms and support strategy development. This will strengthen the planning capacities of public and private ecosystem actors to design tailored support policies for entrepreneurship. The experts will also support the intermediary level by advising on the establishment of local and regional networks of entrepreneurship support organizations, providing organizational advice to these intermediary actors, and supporting the optimization of services to entrepreneurs. Ideally, the networks and improved services will be extended to neighbouring governorates. Finally, the experts will also support the implementation of entrepreneurship services. This could include the piloting of idea generation mechanisms, the establishment of incubation or acceleration programs, mentorship programs, or the establishment of business incubation partnership approaches. Special emphasis will be placed on women-led start-ups and green and social enterprises.
