Project evaluation: Strengthening Capacities for Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution in Nigeria’s Middle Belt

The GIZ-funded Impact Evaluation of the project Strengthening Capacities for Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution in Nigeria’s Middle Belt (PEACECORE) focused on institutional strengthening of the Plateau Peacebuilding Agency that is tasked with developing the capacities of ward-level voluntary mediators in dispute resolution and mediation over the use of natural resources. Moreover, local media actors were trained on conflict-sensitive reporting, and the interaction between conflicting farmers and cattle herders was rehabilitated through the restoring of benefit-sharing systems.
