Evaluation of the civilian engagement of the German Federal Government in Afghanistan

The Joint Departmental Evaluation of the Civilian Engagement in Afghanistan of the German Federal Foreign Office, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Federal Ministry of the Interior focused on projects related to the stabilization of state-building. This included police development through basic and advanced training projects carried out by federal and state police officers, development cooperation and reconstruction, and humanitarian aid. The projects were implemented by GIZ, KfW, multilateral partners such as UN organizations, and German, international, and Afghan non-governmental organizations.
