Accountability programme phase 3
The Accountability Programme – Phase 3 supports stronger accountability between citizens, civil society, the media and public institutions to improve the quality of public services and promote the full enjoyment of socio-economic and political rights in Benin. Implemented by GFA Consulting Group from November 2024 to September 2028, the programme builds on the achievements of previous phases and applies a multi-stakeholder approach that brings together citizens, public authorities and civil society organisations. The programme focuses on key public service sectors, including health, education, water and sanitation, civil registration, justice, public finance, anti-corruption and electoral processes. It strengthens the capacities of state and non-state actors, facilitates constructive dialogue between citizens and public institutions, and manages the Fund to Support Accountability Initiatives (FoSIR), which finances civil society initiatives to promote transparency, participation and accountable governance across Benin.
