Capacity building for management, planning and coordination
The Water and Sanitation Program (WSP) is a multi-donor partnership created in 1978 and administered by the World Bank to support poor people in obtaining affordable, safe, and sustainable access to water and sanitation services. GFA aimed at supporting municipal authorities in Can Tho City in implementing a poor-inclusive City Sanitation Plan. GFA experts helped develop curricula, guidelines and training programs to increase the Plans implementation capacity. The development of shorter-term plans and a long-term strategy for human resource capacity development was to improve access to sanitation services in dense urban and peri-urban areas.
