Capacity development for the urban water and sanitation sector
The water and sanitation sector in Uganda is challenged by low access rates, poor infrastructure and population growth. As part of a GIZ reform program, GFA was to foster capacities and competencies with water sector institutions and relevant professionals. Activities comprised support to capacity development and training implementation, as well as infrastructure asset mangement for urban water utilities. Another task was to improve human resource management and to introduce a monitoring and evaluation system.
