Support for decentralized Water Utilities in southern Juba
In the fragile post-conflict environment of South Sudan, the Operational Support to Decentralized Water Utilities in Southern Juba project was critical to addressing the urgent need for improved water services. In the midst of ongoing conflict and deteriorating basic services, this initiative focused on strengthening the operational, financial, and institutional capacities of water utilities to improve access to safe water and sanitation. With an emphasis on resilience, the project aligned with SDG 6, advocating for sustainable, crisis-resilient water services to promote community stability and well-being. Through comprehensive work packages, it aimed for operational excellence and sustainable service delivery, improving the lives of thousands of people in South Juba amid challenging humanitarian conditions.
