Forest for Future Facility (4F)
During the four-year implementation period, the project will establish and manage the Forest for the Future Facility (F4), which will provide technical assistance to the European Commission (both in Brussels and abroad) and partner countries to ensure sustainable forest management, reduce deforestation/forest degradation and promote sustainable investment and decent jobs in partner countries. The project will therefore contribute to the effective implementation of forest-related commitments, in particular under the SDGs, the Paris Agreement and the New York Declaration on Forests. Beneficiaries are countries engaged in a Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) process in Southeast Asia, Central and West Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America, as well as developing countries at high risk of deforestation.
