Promotion and sustainable management of forest production

Together with the Peruvian National Forest and Wildlife Service (SERFOR), GFA provides technical assistance for the program "Promotion and Sustainable Management of Forest Production in Peru". The project is financed by KfW on behalf of the German-Peruvian Cooperation.

The program finances activities that promote forest management based on sustainability and productivity criteria and thus contribute to reducing deforestation, mitigating climate change and conserving biodiversity in Peru. It includes investments to improve and expand (1) commercial forest plantations for productive forest development in seven departments, (2) sustainable forest production in natural forests in five departments, and (3) forest management in nine departments.
