Multi-Stakeholder dialogues in the Migration and Diaspora Program

Multi-country
GIZ, 2020 - 2022
Contract value: 906,500 CHF

The module objective of the global project is that key actors in partner countries make greater use of the positive effects that regular migration and diaspora involvement have on local social and economic development. The project promotes the positive developmental contribution of (highly) qualified returnees, diaspora actors, and start-ups and strengthens networks and cooperation in the field of development-oriented migration. Counselling centres for jobs, migration and reintegration in selected countries of origin are supported in order to improve the information basis for potential migrants with regard to their individual migration decisions and to increase their access to safe and regular educational and labour migration. Migration policy advice measures are aimed at the strategic capacity development of partner institutions and work towards structural changes in the policy field to achieve the development policy objectives of the GCM.
