The Social and Economic Participation of Returnees, Internally Displaced Persons, and Host Communities in Northeast Nigeria (SEPIN) programme aims to enhance the economic and social participation of returnees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and vulnerable members of host communities in a gender-responsive manner. GFA is responsible for Output 5: Innovative social protection instruments are piloted in selected Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Borno and Adamawa States. To achieve this output:

  1. A holistic graduation programme is designed and implemented to target poor forcibly displaced populations and members of host communities in selected LGAs of the two aforementioned states; and
  2. A shock-responsive social protection mechanism is piloted in both states.
