Technical assistance on nutrition in Sindh
In December 2016, the Government of Sindh, officially launched the Accelerated Action Plan for Reduction of Stunting and Malnutrition in Sindh (AAP), drafted with the assistance of the World Bank. The plan envisaged a multi-sectoral approach to nutrition to be implemented through health, population, sanitation & hygiene, social protection, agriculture and education. It was complemented by extensive Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) efforts, dedicated political leadership and strengthened accountability mechanisms. The objective of this technical assistance was to build-up the capacity of the Government of Sindh to implement a coordinated multi-sectoral approach to nutrition.
