Addressing housing exclusion among displaced Ukrainians
Empower Housing – addressing housing exclusion among displaced Ukrainians in Piedmont, Italy- research and development of pilot projects concepts.
Empower Housing investigated housing exclusion for displaced persons, particularly Ukrainians, in Turin and Settimo Torinese, Italy. The study, supported by Associazione Microlab and the CEB under the PAFMI initiative, examined economic, cultural, and psychological factors influencing housing access, comparing these challenges with other EU regions. It aimed at identifying solutions, developing social housing initiatives, and conceptualising three pilot projects to improve migrant housing inclusion. Research included data collection, housing market assessment, and exploring innovative social housing models. Key objectives were stakeholder engagement, results dissemination, and implementation of one pilot project including financial planning and community outreach.
