Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC)

The overall objective of the Poverty reduction through Inclusive and Sustainable Markets (PRISM) program was to build the capacity of Government services to foster private sector development in general, and SME/SMCI development in particular with a focus on poorer segments of society.

The specific objective of the technical assistance component was to strengthen and support the Ministry of Industries and its agencies involved in SME/SMCI development, in particular the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC), in the fields of knowledge management, capacity building and coordination among other stakeholders, and to assist the Government in the implementation of the PRISM program.
