Contract value: 1,813,322 EUR

Through the "Expert Pool for the ICR Facility" project, GFA is currently supporting GIZ in the implementation of one of the three components of the Investment Climate Reform (ICR) Facility. The ICR Facility is co-funded by the European Union (EU), the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) under the 11th European Development Fund (EDF), together with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the British Council (BC). It is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ), the British Council, Expertise France (EF), and Stichting Nederlandse Ontwikkelingsorganisatie (Netherlands Development Organization, SNV). Within GIZ, it is part of the Sector Project “Sustainable Economic Development”. The specific objective of the action is to support partner countries of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP) and regional institutions in their private sector structured dialogue process to create a more conductive business environment and investment climate. The ICR Facility has three components of activities:

  • Technical Assistance for Business Environment and Investment Climate Improvement (implemented by GFA)
  • Strengthening national and sub-regional development finance institutions
  • Compile and mainstream lessons learned and good practices
