Climate Investment Readiness
The objective of the project is to build deeper climate literacy within Proximity Finance Microfinance Company Limited, thereby supporting the climate resilience of rural Myanmar. By leveraging the institutions expertise in agronomy and rural finance, project activities aim to integrate climate-related impacts into the design of products and services offered by the institution to over 4,000 villages in Myanmar.
In parallel, the project aims to improve the institutions monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework as an integral part of the climate strategy, ensuring that climate change impacts, vulnerabilities and risks are carefully assessed. By establishing a robust M&E framework, the project also contributes to strengthening the institutions accountability and transparency, which in turn fosters both trust and interest among investors, donors, and other stakeholders.
