Technical Assistance to the Sudameris Bank for green projects

GFA supported the Sudameris Bank in Paraguay by providing technical assistance (TA) as accompanying measure for a USD 120 million green credit line with the purpose of promoting green projects implemented by the Bank‘s clients. This TA followed a previous project implemented by GFA  where  a so-called „green loan quick assessment" was carried out to determine the current absorption capacity (status quo) of the financial institution and the future business potential with regards to Green Finance. This was facilitated through:

• Developing the Banks green lending framework
• Conduct a pilot testing of eligible standard technologies for green lending and guidance on the supplier market for green technologies
• Support in the development of operational guidelines for green lending
• Support with the development of a marketing strategy and instruments as well as the development of promotional materials
• Project assessments for non-standarized investments
• Training and on the-job training
