The project supports the Government of Rwanda in implementing the Rwanda Green Taxonomy (RGT) to strengthen the regulatory and market framework for sustainable finance. Its main objective is to operationalise the RGT by integrating it into national policies, regulations, and supervisory instruments, and by building the capacities of financial sector stakeholders and regulators to apply the taxonomy in practice. Through technical assistance, capacity building, pilot applications, and stakeholder coordination, the project aims to mobilise public and private capital for climate-friendly and socio-ecological economic transformation.
