Sustainable Urban Mobility – Air Quality, Climate Action and Accessibility (SUM-ACA)

Some of the most pressing issues in the urban transport sector in India are addressed by the Sustainable Urban Mobility (SUM-ACA) project of GIZ. Its multi-actor, multi-pronged approach is embedded in working with local governments to develop local, socially just, climate-friendly, and innovative solutions. GFA experts develop a national procedure for the development of inventories regarding air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions as well as mobility data. The expert team develops a series of digital solutions for the use of existing and yet to be collected mobility data and the development of integrated urban mobility plans. It also drafts eight integrated mobility plans in different cities.
