Technical assistance to the African Sustainable Cities Initiative
The African Sustainability Cities Initiative (ASCI) improves access to finance for investment in secondary cities in Sub-Saharan Africa, thereby supporting SDG 11 and the New Urban Agenda. ASCI strengthens municipal creditworthiness, financial planning and investment strategies to help cities prepare and secure funding for sustainable urban infrastructure. GFA provides capacity development and advisory support to assist cities with financial strategy development, infrastructure project preparation and investor engagement. GFA also facilitates knowledge sharing and networking, connecting cities with potential funding partners.
