Evaluation of security portfolio and identification for future programming
The evaluation assessed two EU-funded interventions in Lebanon focusing on security sector reform: ACT for Lebanon Security and Promoting Community Policing. The study evaluated the effectiveness of combating terrorism, cybersecurity, and fostering community policing. It identified successes, gaps, and offers forward-looking recommendations for enhancing internal security, rule of law, and human rights compliance. By analysing interventions impact on institutional capacity, coordination, and public trust, the study supported EUs strategic alignment for future programming, addressing Lebanon’s complex socio-economic and security challenges.
