Support towards establishment of human rights commission
The project supports Papua New Guinea in establishing an independent Human Rights Commission and developing a National Human Rights Policy. It focuses on reviewing and finalising the Organic Law on Human Rights Commission, creating an institutional structure with a sustainability plan, and drafting a policy implementation framework. Through consultations, workshops, and awareness campaigns, the project engages stakeholders to promote inclusivity and transparency. By strengthening governance, the rule of law, and compliance with international human rights standards, the initiative advances justice, equality, and institutional capacity in Papua New Guinea.
