Good Financial Governance in Tanzania
The GIZ “Good Financial Governance” (GFG) project aims to address systemic challenges through capacity building and technical assistance. By enhancing the effectiveness, accountability and transparency of revenue collection and public expenditure, the project contributes directly to the Tanzanian Government’s development objectives. The tendered services are targeted at Outputs 2 and 4, focusing on:
- Building capacity in internal audit and procurement to strengthen public expenditure control.
- Facilitating certification programmes for public officials in internal audit, IT systems audit and procurement.
- Supporting the implementation of the Public Financial Management Reform Programme (PFMRP) in Zanzibar by strengthening audit and procurement competencies.
- Providing technical advice and training to institutions such as the Internal Auditor General’s Division (IAGD), the National Audit Office of Tanzania (NAOT) for external audit, and the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) for procurement, as well as the corresponding institutions in Zanzibar (OIAG, OCAGZ and ZPPDA).
