Social and Economic Cohesion through VET in Turkey II - FRIT II
The project is a continuation and expansion of the “Social and Economic Cohesion through Vocational Education in Turkey – FRIT I", financed by the EU and implemented through KfW. The overall impact of the project is to achieve increased levels of employability of people living under temporary protection, international protection and humanitarian residence (primarily Syrians under Temporary Protection - SuTP) and disadvantaged Turkish citizen. The EU has allocated grant funds of EUR 71.4 million for the following activities:
- Provision of workshop equipment for 50 VET schools, including upgrading of school infrastructure
- Provision of student support packages (SSP), benefitting 10,000 students
- Increasing awareness and communication activities
- Supporting labour market integration
- Managing activities to carry out the project
