Autonomy of health facilities

The objective of this project was to promote and facilitate the achievement of greater efficiency and quality in health care delivery by developing, piloting, and rolling out a model for health facility autonomy. Strategic and technical assistance included the development of health legislation, the establishment of a functioning Rayon Supervisory Board, the development of a quality management system, and public awareness of new clinical practices and referral systems. In addition, baseline, mid-term and final impact evaluations were conducted.
