Hospital reform process (MGHP)

Malawi
GIZ, 2019 - 2021
Contract value: 983,280 EUR

The GIZ Malawi German Health Program (MGHP) has three result areas that address institutional reforms, quality management, and human resource management and development. GFA has been contracted by MGHP to support the Ministry of Health and two central hospitals (Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe and Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre) in implementing the hospital reform agenda. The technical assistance services provided fall under the institutional reform results area, but are also linked to the quality management results area. The services are organized in three work packages that aim to strengthen the organizational capacity of central hospitals, the capacity of hospital managers, and the legal environment for semi-autonomous central hospitals.
